Santa Cruz County Immigration Project (SCCIP)
Program Overview
SCCIP’s mission is to promote the wellbeing of the immigrant community in Santa Cruz County and the Pajaro Valley. We accomplish this by helping immigrants acquire legal status, reuniting immigrant families, and making U.S. citizenship more accessible to eligible immigrants. We provide competent and professional legal services, advocacy, and community education and information.
Services
Specific legal services include but are not limited to: citizenship applications and interview preparation, Deferred Action (DACA), adjustment of status cases, changes of address, USCIS and consular inquiries, applications for permanent residence, relative visa petitions, replacement/renewal of green cards and work permits, Temporary Protected Status, free income tax assistance (February through April), immigration consumer complaints, Border Patrol abuse monitoring, attorney referrals, workplace discrimination complaints, information on your rights as workers and residents, and more.
All of our services are free, although we do request donations from those receiving legal services. Interested individuals and families are welcome to call or stop by with questions or to make an appointment.
Ayudamos con solicitudes para la ciudadanía y preparación para la entrevista, Acción Diferida (DACA), casos de ajuste de estatus, cambios de dirección, encuestas para USCIS y consulados, solicitudes para residencia permanente, permisos familiares, renovaciones y reemplazos de micas y permisos para trabajar, TPS, ayuda gratuita para hacer o enmendar los reportes de impuestos (febrero a abril), quejas de consumidores de servicios inmigratorios, investigaciones de abusos de la migra, referencias para abogados de confianza, quejas de discriminación en el trabajo, información sobre sus derechos como trabajadores y residentes, y más.
