EMERGENCY HOUSING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM GUIDELINES
City of Santa Cruz and Community Action Board of Santa Cruz County, Inc. Emergency Eviction Prevention Program
Ciudad de Santa Cruz y El Consejo de Acción Comunitaria del Condado de Santa Cruz – Prevención de Desalojo de Emergencia
The Economic Development Department of the City of Santa Cruz is partnering with Community Action Board of Santa Cruz County, Inc. (CAB) to market and administer an Emergency Eviction Prevention Program. The program is funded with HOME funding and CDBG-CV funding. Grant funds may be used to assist with payment of past due rent, incurred on or after April 1st, 2020. A maximum of two month’s assistance is available for those who need it and are eligible with a monthly limit not to exceed $2,500 or a total limit of $5,000 total per household. The emergency housing assistance will be paid directly to the landlord on behalf of the household.
El Departamento de Desarrollo Económico de la Ciudad de Santa Cruz se está asociando con el Consejo de Acción Comunitaria del Condado de Santa Cruz, Inc. (CAB) en administrar el Programa de Prevención de Desalojo de Emergencia. El programa está financiado con fondos HOME y CDBG-CV. Los fondos se pueden usar para ayudar con el pago del alquiler atrasada, incurrida a partir del 1 de abril de 2020. Hay un máximo de asistencia de dos meses disponible para aquellos que la necesiten y que estén elegibles, con un límite mensual que no puede sobrepasar $2500, o un límite total de $5000, por hogar. La asistencia de vivienda de emergencia se pagará directamente al propietario.
